Monday morning, there came quite a bit of noise from the street. It came from this huge vacuum cleaner. Apparently they use the monster to clean up the big trashcans. It’s the first time I saw one of those. Quite impressive. It took the guys about half an hour to clean three trash holes.

Like once or twice a year a similar device, but on a boat, cleans out the canal behind my window. Very cool. This sunday, I saw a boat there from the Gemeente, giving out tickets to other boats that had been wrongly parked. I love Amsterdam!
When I see things like this, I'm back a little boy who watches it speechless with great eyes.
