The Hulk returns

De camera’s zijn aan het draaien op de set van de nieuwe Hulk-film. Edward Norton speelt dit keer Bruce Banner. Norton als Banner is iets waar ik zeer enthousiast van word. Ook al vond ik dat Eric Banna een prima Banner neerzette vol onderdrukte emoties. Ang Lee maakte van de eerste Hulk-film een verhaal vol met jeugdtrauma’s en zette misschien iets te zwaar in op het psychologische vlak. Aan de andere kant is zijn Hulk (2003) wel een eigenzinnige stripverfilming geworden, waarin een wat meer duistere aanpak van het stripmateriaal centraal staat zonder dat het oorspronkelijke medium uit het oog wordt verloren. De klassieke scéne waarin de Hulk het opneemt tegen het leger duurt lang, maar verveelt geen moment. De brute kracht van de Hulk wordt er mooi in gedemonstreerd. Ben benieuwd naar de benadering van regisseur Louis Leterrier. Nog even afwachten dus…
