Tree of gold

In the neighbor’s backyard stands this beautiful tree, which I can see from our living room window. Thursday morning the sun gave it a golden glow. The small branches make the tree look like a wooden nervous system.

Tying the knot

Friday the 20th of February my parents finally married. They’ve been together for 28 years but felt it was time to tie the knot. It’s my father’s second marriage. Anita is my second mom – yeah, I have two moms. How cool is that? I’m very proud of my parents: recently they started a new company selling microcars. We celebrated after the ceremony by eating a formidable dinner. It was nice to catch up with my younger siblings. Especially since all of them are doing pretty great.

Picture was made by Linda Delis. (I was holding my parent’s coats off screen).

Skinned Kermit

Another picture from the fine hotel we were staying in Groningen. This chair looks and feels like Kermit the Frog got skinned, but honestly it is very comfortable. It’s made by Vervoort.

Back in 10, getting coffee?

Thursday Linda and I arrived in Groningen. We were spending a couple of days there because my parents were getting married (long story). Anyway, these were the sights from our hotel-room. I liked the empty office, it looks like people just left to get some coffee but in truth the office stayed empty the rest of the night. It reminded me of paintings by Hopper.

The other view is the Groningen Sunset Strip sort of speak.

A collection of ugly

I’ve written about my dislike of tags before, but this must be one of the ugliest collection of tags I’ve seen in my life.

It’s a cat!

In Amsterdam a lot of cafés have a cat. I guess it keeps the mice population at bay. Funny thing is, those cats get a lot of attention from customers or people who walk by on the street. Just like this little red pussy cat in Louis I photographed a couple of days ago. Red couldn’t care less though and ignored most attention. Smart pussy.

City View

Sunday Linda and I went to the public library to check out the exhibition on the Poezenkrant (Cat Newspaper) made by Piet Schreuders. I also took a moment to look at the wonderful city scape the library offers.

Here’s a life shot if you prefer that:
