De tweede aflevering van Retro Smash van vrijdag 2 oktober 20:00 gaat over The Karate Kid en de nieuwe serie Cobra Kai, het vervolg op deze klassieker uit de jaren tachtig. Daarom heb ik als huiswerk de nieuwe serie bekijken, maar natuurlijk herkijk ik dan eerst The Karate Kid uit 1984.

When I started collecting comics as a ten year old, Todd McFarlane started as the artist on Amazing Spider-Man. His dynamic art style made a real impact on me. And Mary Jane Watson-Parker had never looked so good.
In Marvel Superheroes Secret Wars, writer Jim Shooter gives the readers what they want: big battles between good and evil, but also moments of quiet contemplation which show superheroes are people made of flesh and blood. Like everyone else they have their doubts and fears. I find comfort in that in these trying times.
